Every Day We Fight Beginner Guide โ€” First Missions & Combat Basics

A first-session route for Every Day We Fight on Steam (AppID 1546080): install the Windows build, read a turn as the store describes it, and treat your first three fighters as civilians learning to be soldiers. No skill tree, no drop table, and no codes list.

Before you start (Steam install / controls overview)

Install Every Day We Fight from Steam, AppID 1546080. It is not a Roblox experience, and this guide does not link a Roblox place. The official site is signalspacelab.com/every-day-we-fight.

Steam lists Windows only. macOS and Linux are not supported platforms on the store record read for this guide, and those requirement lists are empty. The numbered spec sheet lives on the wiki page and on the store; it is not repeated as a second table here.

This guide does not publish a keyboard, mouse, or controller bind chart. Steam lists full controller support and does not print the button map in the store text used here. Subtitle options, adjustable text size, custom volume controls, adjustable difficulty, and save anytime are category labels on that same page. They are features the store names, not a control diagram.

The current price, including any discount, stays on the store page. This guide does not copy it.

  1. 1Open the Steam store page for AppID 1546080 and install from your library on Windows.
  2. 2Expect full controller support. Learn the actual binds in the game, not from a chart on this page.
  3. 3Use the store's difficulty options if the first fight is too sharp or too soft. The store names multiple difficulty modes, including Iron Man mode and Forever War mode, and does not define their rules here.

Reading the battlefield (turn structure + interrupt windows โ€” conceptual)

Source: Steam store โ€” short description and About This Game โ€” Turn-based tactics, real-time reactions, and reflex actions are the store's words. No action-point table is printed there.

The short description calls the game turn-based tactics that meet real-time choices. You are told to react to enemy fire, aim your shots, and interrupt enemies on the fly. That is the whole turn model this guide will use. It does not add action points, a phase order, or a timer the store does not print.

The About text says resistance fighters can react to friend and foe across turns on either side. Each person has reflex actions: intercept enemy movement, assist an allied kill, or scramble away from enemy fire. Spending a reflex now is the interrupt. Saving it is the defensive option the same paragraph asks you to weigh.

Hit chances, in that text, come from positioning, aim, and reaction time. Ballistics take firing angles and obstructions into account. An obstruction is the store's word for something in the way of the shot. This page does not turn that into a cover percentage.

  1. 1Treat a fight as turns, not as a mode this guide can chart.
  2. 2Before you spend a reflex, decide whether you need it to interrupt or to get out of fire.
  3. 3If a shot has to cross an obstruction or a bad angle, move the shooter. The store says the angle matters.

Your first trio โ€” roles at a high level (no invented skill trees)

The short description tells you to transform a trio of ragtag civilians into seasoned soldiers. Three people is the squad size that sentence names. The store does not name classes, roles, or a skill tree, and this guide will not invent them.

What the About text does say you can change is the loadout and the reflex. It claims 12 unique guns, dozens of skills to unlock, and over 100 gun attachments and parts, including some with legendary perks. Those counts are the store's marketing lines. They are not a list. This page does not name the guns, the skills, or the perks.

At a high level, the three fighters differ by where they stand, when they spend a reflex, and which loadout you gave them. Allies are described as working together: assist one another, interrupt enemy movement, and end a bad situation quickly. That is cooperation inside your squad, not a second player.

  1. 1Field the trio the store describes. Do not wait for a class select this page does not document.
  2. 2Give each person a job you can see: a firing angle, a reflex you are saving, or a loadout you already found.
  3. 3Ignore any skill-tree chart that is not on the Steam page or the official site. This guide does not host one.

Surviving early encounters (positioning / cover concepts)

Early fights are the mission types the store names, not a scripted first level this wiki invented. Shut down harvesters, defuse bombs, and take out occupying troops are the examples in the About text. It does not order them, and this guide will not.

Positioning is the survival rule the same text repeats. Sneak to a better spot, use the world around you, or go in shooting. Every fight is different, in the store's words. Obstructions and firing angles are what ballistics are said to care about, so standing in the open with a bad angle is the mistake those sentences imply.

A reflex spent to scramble away is the documented way to leave enemy fire. A reflex spent to intercept is the documented way to stop an enemy move. This page does not add hit points, armor values, or a cover-bonus table.

The store also names a choice about other civilians frozen in time: try to save them and risk your progress, or sacrifice them to push the goal. That is a mission decision the About text asks, not a loot drop.

  1. 1Move before you shoot if the angle or an obstruction is wrong.
  2. 2Keep one reflex if you still need a way out of enemy fire.
  3. 3Use the world the store mentions โ€” sneak, or take the shot โ€” instead of a damage chart.
  4. 4Read a civilian you can save as a choice, not as a reward table.

Progression mindset (civilian โ†’ soldier โ€” no fabricated drop tables)

Source: Steam store โ€” About This Game โ€” Carry-over between loops and the Rifter leaders are described on the store page. No drop rates are published there.

There is no drop table, rarity ladder, or currency amount on this page. If another wiki prints drop rates or a skill-point cost, it did not come from here.

The short description is the progression sentence: civilians become soldiers. The About text says experience and skills remain when a new time loop starts, and that anything you discover in one loop is available from the start of the next. Districts of the city are where that exploration happens. The official site's matching line is that you learn abilities, seek weapons, and develop techniques. It does not list them.

Missions are how the store says you gain the skills you need. The leaders it names are the Rifter leaders: hard to kill, heavily armored, and dangerously armed. When one falls, the time loop shifts forward. Death is described as not the end of the run โ€” the store says the resistance grows with each success and each failure, and that death is only the beginning. That is persistence across a loop, not a respawn rule with a timer.

Iron Man mode and Forever War mode are named as harder options. This guide does not explain what they change.

  1. 1Expect the trio to keep what the loop already taught them.
  2. 2Explore a district for what carries into the next loop, instead of farming a drop table.
  3. 3Treat a failed fight as the store describes it: not a full erase of what you learned.
  4. 4Look up shipped changes on Steam news before you assume a mode was patched.

Solo notes (Steam lists single-player)

Source: Steam store โ€” features โ€” Categories read 27 October 2026 include Single-player and Full controller support. Online Co-op, Multi-player, and Shared/Split Screen are not listed.

Solo is the mode Steam documents. The feature list includes Single-player. It does not include online co-op, multiplayer, or split-screen.

Sentences about allies assisting each other describe the trio you control. They are not a party invite. This guide does not describe a co-op lobby, a session size, or a join code.

  1. 1Plan the first missions as one player controlling the trio.
  2. 2Do not wait for a co-op toggle the store page does not list.
